The Trophy Stalkers |

The Trophy Stalkers Guide Service • Your Florida Everglades Back Country Fishing Headquarters

Welcome To The Trophy Stalkers Guide Service, Your Florida Everglades Back Country Fishing Headquarters. The Florida Everglades is one of the top destinations in the world for fisherman and fly fisherman. The 10,000 Islands area provides miles and miles of incredible back country fishing for Snook, Tarpon, Redfish, Jacks, Trout, Snapper, Sharks, and many other species of fish. Whether you are a beginner looking reel in your first snook out of the mangroves, or an experienced fly fisherman looking to fool a redfish, I will cater to your needs and fishing abilities. I fish using live bait, lures, and or flies, depending on what you are wanting to do.

I fish out of the Port of the Islands Marina, and fish through the Mangrove haven Florida Everglades National Park, and 10,000 Islands maze of creeks, flats and oyster bars.

Families are welcome to come aboard and experience saltwater fishing with kids ages 5 to 85. We will catch anything from mangrove snapper, to catfish, to redfish, to baby sharks. Hourly trips are available upon request, as I understand sometimes 4 hours can get too long for some youngsters! With Family trips, ee are able to fish very close to the Marina, and the wildlife such as Manatees, Alligators, and a variety of bird species always make for a great time in the Everglades!
Boats

Hewes Redfisher 18 powered by a Yamaha 150hp 4stroke. This is the Cadillac of fishing boats, it mixes and maxes fishability with comfort. From poling in a foot of water to running smooth and dry in chop off of the beaches this boat does it all and does it all with soft cushy seats and a rocket fast engine. There is a bimini top on the boat for those sweltering days and for idle time coming back from a day of fishing. There is ample room for bait, rods, gear, a cooler, and any extra belongings one might need in a day of fishing. This boat can comfortably fit myself and 3 other anglers.

Maverick Mirage HPX-T 17 powered by a Yamaha 70hp 2stroke. This is the working mans boat, this boat is for the serious back country angler who wants to challenge the fish as well as him or herself. I use this boat for fly fisherman because it is lightweight, easy to pole, stable, and will float in 4inches of water with 2 people on board. It has a 2stroke to save weight and has essentials to do a serious day of extreme back country fly or spin fishing. This boat can comfortably fit myself and 2 other anglers.

Florida Everglades and 10,000 Islands Fishing

Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge is on the southwest coast of Florida. Established in 1996, this 35,000 acre refuge protects important mangrove habitats and a rich diversity of native wildlife, including several endangered species. The refuge is part of the largest expanses of mangrove forest in North America. Approximately two thirds of the refuge is mangrove forest, which dominates most tidal fringes and the numerous islands. Roughly 200 species of fish have been documented in the area and much of the sea grass beds, mangrove trees, and oyster beds serve as vital nursery areas for marine fish. Over 189 species of birds use the refuge at some time during the year. Prominent bird groups include wading birds, shorebirds, diving water birds, and raptors. Common mammals found in the area include raccoon, river otter, and bottle-nosed dolphins. Manatees and alligators are often observed in up close and personal.
